A journey along the Siberian mega-transect: Discovering Tomsk State University and environmental research.

3rd November 2020

Thank you to the nearly 60 people who joined the second in the UK-Russia Arctic Science webinar series on 22 October: A journey along the Siberian mega-transect: Discovering Tomsk State University and environmental research. There were four excellent presentations from Prof. Sergey Kirpotin (Mega-transect from Tundra to Steppe); Dr Alexander Erofeev (Sixty years of instrumental observations for Siberian glaciers); Prof. Terry V. Callaghan (Access to Tomsk State University and other Siberian infrastructures through INTERACT); and Olga Shaduyko (Siberian Change Network Infrastructure and Networking).

You can watch a recording of the session (approx. 90mins) here: https://bit.ly/3mPRz9j

We have worked closely with colleagues from Tomsk State University over several years in hosting events and building better international science links. The University has an excellent track record in the study of environmental change; a very welcoming approach to international engagement; and a keen interest in forging new connections. Please do feel free to follow-up with any of the speakers if you have questions or would like to collaborate. Thank you again to all the speakers and webinar participants.

The webinar series continues and we will be sharing details of the next event shortly. Thank you to the UK Science and Innovation Network in Russia for their ongoing support and partnership.
