The NERC Arctic Office, working closely with the British Science and Innovation Team in the High Commission in Ottawa, has developed a new Bursary programme, funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to enable UK-based researchers to join Canadian-led Arctic projects and in the process to make use of Canadian Arctic infrastructure.

The aim of the programme is to support high quality science, open-up new collaborations and partnerships, and ensure that UK-based researchers are able to develop their Arctic research potential.

Since 2017, over 40 projects have been funded through the UK-Canada Arctic Bursaries scheme. Details of all projects are now available:
